"Rīgas satiksme" calls to choose best drawing for e-ticket’s design
"Rīgas satiksme" calls to choose the best drawing made by a child, which will be printed on yellow e-tickets late this year. Visitors of the company’s website at www.rigassatiksme.lv can evaluate 8 drawings and vote for the best one from May 15 till June 15. It’s possible to vote once a day from one computer.
This year the theme of the drawings is "Modern public transport", as "Rīgas satiksme" thinks about development and improving passengers’ comfort, including the purchase of new public transport vehicles. Today 26 low-platform trams already run in Riga streets, and 125 trolleybuses and 175 buses, all modern and comfortable, will be gradually received in the coming five years.
"Rīgas satiksme" reminds that the contest of children’s drawings was held on May 13 at bus depot no. 7. 8 children from Riga boarding school for children with hearing disabilities participated in the contest. First of all, they went on a guided tour of bus depot No. 7 to become familiar with the specifics of day-to-day work in "Rīgas satiksmes". After that, they drew the new design for yellow e-tickets under the guidance of painter Jānis Anmanis.
"Rīgas satiksme" is organising the contest of children’s drawings for e-ticket design for a sixth year in a row. The company reminds that in 2014 the design of the e-ticket was created by children from youth centre "Mīlgrāvis". At the end of the contest, the drawing made by Anastasija Volkova collected 1795 votes and, starting from December 11, it was printed on yellow e-tickets.
